IES Staffanstorp is looking for an Assistant Principal of pastoral care:

Internationella Engelska Skolan Staffanstorp is looking for a committed and professional AP Pastoral to join our team from January 2026.

The role of the AP pastoral is primarily to ensure that the school complies with relevant laws and regulations and to keep the ethos of Internationella Engelska Skolan at the centre of the effective management of the school.  This means creating and maintaining a safe and calm environment where teachers can teach and students learn.

In order to achieve the above the AP Pastoral will undertake the following:

-        Meet as a management group on a regular basis to discuss school issues.  Individual meetings may be regularly          scheduled with the Principal.

-        Lead and develop the Plan to prevent abusive treatment and Crisis plan with A.P. of Academics.

-        Coordinate and implement established routines for staff and students. To ensure that the flow of information          complies with the approved diagram.

-        Lead, observe, advise and assist staff. To be a resource and support for all staff in their everyday work.

-        Cover and/or monitor substitution duties.

-        Promote school integrity and identity.

-        Chair a regularly scheduled meeting with respective teams, creating an agenda and store minutes for the meeting in          liaison with their colleagues.

-        Collaborate with the other Assistant Principal (of Academics) and the Principal in the day-to-day running of the school.

-        Assisting/Holding meetings with parents in order to support teachers

-        Developing the teaching staff by integrating research and best practices, safety policies and routines.

-        Lead and assist Heads of Years and the Student care team with their duties and responsibilities.

-        Lead the creation of remedial programs, report to social services and other instances when needed.

The successful candidate will:

-        Have experience in helping manage a school, preferably a free school with an international profile.

-        Have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

-        Working knowledge of Swedish school law related to student care

-        Ability and credentials to evaluate teacher effectiveness
